We understand that at times players and families may choose to move to another club. While this is always disappointing for us, we aim to make the clearance process as clear and straightforward as possible. Please note, there is a clearance window.
If you are seeking a clearance from North Adelaide Basketball Club (NABC) to play for another club or association, please follow the steps below:
Step 1 – Submit a Clearance Request
Please email the NABC Secretary at secretary@nabc-rockets.club, including:
Your full name
The club you wish to be cleared to
Example:
“I, Joe Bloggs, wish to be cleared from NABC to XYZ Basketball Club.”
Please also CC districtleagues@basketballsa.com.au (Basketball SA requirement).
Step 2 – Acknowledge Clearance Terms
By submitting your request, you agree to the following:
- A standard clearance fee of $50 applies
- Standard processing time is 2 weeks
- All clearances are subject to a financial check and review
- Outstanding fees must be paid prior to approval
- Clearance fees and timeframes still apply once debts are settled
- Any suspected poaching will be referred to Basketball SA
- Express Clearance Option
Families may request an express clearance by completing an exit questionnaire.
- Clearance fee reduced to $25
- Clearance processed immediately
- A genuine effort must be made to provide feedback
Step 3 – Final Requirements
NABC will confirm:
- All fees are paid in full
- Any club uniforms or equipment have been returned
Once approved, Basketball SA will be notified to finalise the clearance. You will receive confirmation via email once your clearance has been processed.
